EDU 425 - Reading Development in Middle and Secondary Content Areas Credit Hours: 3
Focuses on literacy development strategies emphasizing effective learning in content contexts. Secondary school instruction encompasses reading comprehension, critical reading, integrated writing, and study strategies. Students examine the role of assessment tools to enhance reading to learn, as well as writing to learn, and methods to promote more extensive reading.
Prerequisite: SOE admission, and C or better in methods courses Clinical, Internship, or Practicum Hours: Interaction with adolescent readers Course Fee: Yes
