Examines ancient civilizations, especially Greece and Rome, as background to Christianity, and surveys key Christian individuals and movements, such as Roman Catholicism (Augustine/Aquinas), Luther, Calvin, Anabaptists, Wesleyans, Christian socialism, Conservatism, and Christian Coalition. Covers questions dealing with the nature of the state and what difference Christianity makes on public policy.
