Survey of music literature and history focusing on critical listening and empathy. Covers works by significant composers in terms of design, place in history, and aesthetic impact. Field trips may be taken to provide a greater understanding of various music forms. Student may not take both MUS 152 and MUS 220. Counts toward General Education. Does not count toward music major or minor.
