EDU 140 - Exploring Critical Skills for the Professional Educator Credit Hours: 3
Identifies essential skills and dispositions necessary to become an effective teacher. Includes practical opportunities in an educational context to develop the skills of critical thinking, human interaction, organization, reading, writing, and speaking. Emphasizes the SOE’s expectations and processes. Requires field experience at all certification levels. B- or better to advance to Professional Skills Lab (PSL) and other EDU courses.
Prerequisite: B- or better in ENG 104 or SAT evidence-based reading and writing score of 480. Corequisite: EDU 140L
