SWK 643 - Mental Health and Mental Disorders in Children and Youth Credit Hours: 3
Receive instruction in social work practice, knowledge, and skills using effective evidenced based assessment and intervention to be used with individual students, groups, families, school personnel and communities. These assessments and interventions are used to enhance student learning, development, and social/academic school success. Engage in knowledge and activities to assess and intervene in a variety of special education areas. Learn the importance of family engagement and collaboration, as well as consultation between teachers, families, and other school personnel.
Additional Requirements: Non-degree, does not apply toward Social Work program. One of three required courses needed to practice School Social Work in Michigan. Location: Online, Virtual Classroom
