NUR 780B - EDU/MBA Clinical Practicum Credit Hours: 2
Focuses on application of nursing theory, pathophysiologic, epidemiological, leadership concepts, and exploration of nursing therapies, skills and techniques essential for the nurse educator and administrator to gain advanced knowledge and skill for the direct care of diverse populations. The clinical practicum is arranged with a local preceptor (either a certified NP, physician, PA, or Master’s-prepared nurse in a specialty field) with the approval of the program faculty. Students will complete 125 hours in a direct care setting, and have regular contact with SAU clinical faculty, who also provide oversight of the preceptor-led experience.
Prerequisite: NUR 612 , NUR 618 , NUR 602 , NUR 602R Graded: P/F
Minimum Grade Required: Passing grade to proceed in MSN program.
Clinical, Internship, or Practicum Hours: Students will complete 125 hours in a direct care setting, and have regular contact with SAU clinical faculty, who also provide oversight of the preceptor-led experience.
