PSY 100 - Introduction to Psychology


Credit Hours: 3

Provides a broad, general introduction to the discipline of psychology. Topics include personality theory, psychophysiology, learning, developmental psychology, motivation, abnormal behavior, psychotherapy, and social psychology. Introductory psychology students will be exposed to the approaches of gathering and evaluating evidence about the causes and correlates of behavior. Emphasizes the means by which psychological knowledge is, or can be, applied to improve the quality of individual and community life.
