MAT 322 - Abstract Algebra II


Credit Hours: 2

Focuses mainly on the theory of rings and integral domains and their connections to everyday numbering systems. Additional topics include ideals, homomorphisms, constructible numbers, and polynomial rings and their factorization. Applications will arise in cryptography, symmetry, algebraic geometry, and computer science.

Prerequisite: MAT 321
