SED 650 - Internship Site-Based Experience Credit Hours: 2
Interns are responsible for managing learning activities of students with disabilities while considering the need for a specific, student-centered academic or behavioral intervention as part of their action-research study. Provides observation, assessment, instructional, and management opportunities in the special education classroom under the mentorship of a classroom teacher with the appropriate certification and a university supervisor.
Requires a minimum of 8 weeks and 180 hours of site-based internship work in a classroom according to selected master’s degree program.
Prerequisite: All other coursework in program. Corequisite: SED 640 and SED 645
